it’s a lazy sunday afternoon. i have just had my lunch. a steak sandwhich. perhaps that was breakfast too.
meanwhile i am cooking up some rice for tonight’s dinner and tomorrow’s lunch. and on the tele is season 3 of ‘the office’ or in the words of my english colleague, paul, ‘the unfunny american version’.
currently i am thinking of fried rice.
a few of my colleagues, chris, tina and shiyi, dropped by just now. two of them were thinking of getting an apartment in my compound.
so far i have been telling them as it is.
it looks crappy from the outside. there might be pests around. most definitely there are mozzies. many locals amneties around. there are street vendors selling vegetables. sometimes enormous watermelons would be laid along the veges…
in short, fantastic!
i wouldnt tell it any other way. that is how it is.
i feel a bit spent today. maybe not spent. as i have mentioned before just lazy. probably its because of my mobile indiscretion on friday and saturday nights.
i was out with warren on friday. that was exciting.
the friend that he brought along didnt like Eager Beaver too much. it is this dingy dive down at henshan road. but that is the way i like it. small and friendly.
while waiting for warren, i made friends with a scottish bloke whom i could understand or everyone could understand for that matter. later into the conversation i found out the reason for his miraculous ability to be understood (being scottish). he was basically schooled everywhere in the world except scotland.
bulb lights up…
i think the fun when they arrived.
i dont quite understand people’s penchant for a wasted expanded time for blown up bass beats.
i would rather have a quiet conversation… well at least with some alternative background music.
that is how i like the surroundings around my apartment to be…
